RELIC SERIES ONGOING 2018
1. An object surviving from an earlier time, especially one of historical or sentimental interest.
2. A part of a deceased holy person's body or belongings kept as an object of reverence.
3. An object, custom, or belief that has survived from an earlier time but is now outmoded.
Within this ongoing series I am exploring the definition of RELIC. Time, consumption, generational and cultural knowledge and obsolescence.
The objects I choose to call RELICS might not be relics somewhere else. Some objects, no one would recognize; such as the broken piece of industrial metal. Other objects are considered RELICS because they are no longer useful or the industry they were a part of evolved or died. I am continuing to unpack this idea.
